The day I was moved by ramen, even though I was a "no eating or drinking" kind of person.

I loved working with people, and based on my experience working part-time at a restaurant during college, I was thinking of working in the hotel or tourism industry. To be honest, I was not at all a candidate for a job in a restaurant. However, I applied to Gift because of my love of ramen. Being from Akita, I was unfamiliar with Ihekei Ramen, and in fact, it was the day before my final interview that I had my first taste of Machida Shoten's ramen.

Where "it seems impossible" turned into "it might be possible.

I decided to work at Gift because I was impressed by the fun-loving attitude of the hiring manager and senior employees I met during the interview. At the time, I did not have a good impression of working people, but I sincerely believed that I could have a pleasant working life at Gift.

Now, as a store manager, I am in charge of overall store operations, from managing labor costs to placing orders, but at first there were many times when I felt that it was impossible. I remember well how the store managers around me warmly followed me through those times.

Beyond the Manager. Thoughts on Local and Recruitment

In the future, I would like to pass the store manager exam and take on greater responsibility. In particular, it is my dream to work there when Machida Shoten is established in my hometown of Akita. I am also interested in working in recruitment, which is what first attracted me to Gift. I would like to further enhance the name value of Gift as a company and convey to more people the appeal of working in this fun and rewarding environment.
