A realization and decision over 7 years that began with a part-time job.
It has been more than seven years since I first became involved with Machida Shoten as a cast member when I was a student. I initially chose this part-time job because it was close to home, but I was attracted to the environment where I could learn more than customer service and cooking; I could learn how to be a good human being, and I decided to join the company.
After two years with the company, I became a store manager and am currently experiencing growth through various stores. What we offer is not just a product, but a special space that cannot be experienced in any other restaurant. What we value there is a "smile. We do not laugh because it is fun, but by laughing we can create an enjoyable space. We share this idea with all of our team members. We also value the feeling of "gratitude" for our daily business activities that we do not take for granted, such as the environment in which we can work and the encounters with our customers.
The manager's commitment to supporting the growth of each person
As a manager, I place particular importance on creating an environment where all team members can seriously work together. I want to create a place where each and every one of us can experience growth, and based on the philosophy of "Shiawase starts with you," we interview everyone once a month and carefully train them. We also strive to conduct monthly interviews with all employees and provide careful training based on our philosophy, "Shiawase starts with you. We place special emphasis on "communication" and try to communicate in a way that suits the individual, based on an understanding of their background.
Creating a Future-Focused Environment and Expanding Gifts
In the future, I would like to expand my field of activity to block manager and headquarters. What is more important, however, is to create an environment where each and every person working in the store can truly feel "fun. I hope that the charm from the inside will be conveyed to the outside, and that more people will come to know about "Gift".
