IN RESPONSE TO THE GROWING INTEREST IN SUSTAINABLE GROWTH AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN RECENT YEARS, OUR GROUP RECOGNIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE ISSUES. THEREFORE, THE MINEBEA GROUP HAS COMPILED A LIST OF SOCIAL ISSUES AND CHALLENGES IN ITS BUSINESS ACTIVITIES WITH REFERENCE TO THE EVALUATION ITEMS OF ESG EVALUATION ORGANIZATIONS. BASED ON THE LEVEL OF SOCIAL CONCERN AND THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE ISSUES TO THE GROUP, WE HAVE FORMULATED THE GROUP'S MATERIALITY, WHICH IS DEFINED AS ISSUES OF PARTICULAR PRIORITY TO THE GROUP. THIS MATERIALITY WILL BE REVIEWED PERIODICALLY BASED ON CHANGES IN SOCIAL CONDITIONS AND OTHER FACTORS.

Materiality Identification Process

  • Step 1

    Identification of Issues

    List social issues with reference to the evaluation items of ESG evaluation organizations.
    Listing of issues in our business activities by our employees, including board members.

  • Step 2

    Organizing Issues

    ORGANIZE THE IDENTIFIED ISSUES BY ESG AND PRIORITIZE THEM BASED ON "LEVEL OF SOCIAL CONCERN" AND "LEVEL OF IMPORTANCE TO THE GROUP.

  • Step 3

    Materiality Identification

    The Sustainability Working Committee will identify materiality.
    The Sustainability Promotion Committee and the Board of Directors will then deliberate and approve the materiality.
