When I visited Machida Shoten as a customer for the first time, I was very impressed by the cheerful and cheerful staff working together, and by the way they saw me off at the entrance with a smile when I left the store, even though the store was crowded. I was so impressed that I thought, "I want to work here, too!

Attention to what you can do

At my store, we place great importance on "expressing gratitude to each other," and even if it is something small, we say "Thank you! and the accumulation of such words builds a "bond" with the people I work with. Working with such colleagues gives me a great sense of accomplishment when I overcome the busiest times, and that is when I feel the "joy" of working with them!

What are the hardest parts of your job?

Attention to what you can do

The store is visited by customers of all ages, both men and women, so it is very difficult to provide customer service and attention that is suited to each customer. However, when I notice that a customer is happy with the attention I can give, I am very encouraged by the smiles on their faces.

Please tell us about a particularly memorable episode while working at Machida Shoten.

Experience working with many customers

A couple of our regular customers said, "Thanks for everything, good luck! and they brought gifts for everyone in the restaurant, or wished me a happy birthday. I think this kind of happy experience was possible because Machida Shoten uses a meal ticket system, which gives us many opportunities to talk with many customers and to ask them about their ramen preferences.
